To say that Tim Andresen is one of Scandinavia's leading DJs is almost an understatement. Considered the busiest and most influential man in Danish house music, Tim Andresen is now well established as a producer, remixer, promoter, label owner and one of just a few successful DJs out of Scandinavia with truly international reach.

Being the main man behind the What Happens label, Tim has created a solid platform for some of the finest producer talents on the planet and it’s also home to a whole string of his own releases and remixes. Tim’s reputation has continued to grow with successful productions signed to Norman Cook’s mighty Southern Fried imprint, Mark Knight’s Toolroom stable as one of the “Leaders Of The New School”, the UK’s longest running house label Azuli, Seamless, Big In Ibiza, Kinky Digital etc. besides remixing for Distinctive, Sutil, Dumb Recordings, Deepology, Mirabilis, Troll and many more. He also forms one half of Professional Losers and has 70 releases/remixes under his belt in recent years.

Tim has proved himself more professional than loser. He has had support from Pete Tong on The Essential Selection and his tracks are played by the who’s who of house music including Steve Lawler, Nic Fanciulli, Dubfire, Morillo, Mark Knight, Laurent Garnier, Hernan Cattaneo, Roger Sanchez, Fedde Le Grand and dancemusic’s biggest superstar Fatboy Slim whom he was also personally asked to remix. The remix of “Running On Sunshine” went on to hit #1 in the official UK Buzz Chart. His productions have also topped bestseller charts at some of the most respected download shops including Juno and DJDownload as well as being a regular in the Beatport charts. You’ll now see his tracks feature on some of the World’s most well known compilation CDs from Space, Ministry Of Sound, Toolroom and Club Azuli amongst others.

Looking at the past, he won the Best DJ award at the Club Awards. He also won the prestigious Most Popular Nordic DJ award and has been nominated countless times for Best DJ, Best Clubnight, Best Clubtrack and Best Producer, proving his status in the Danish nightlife. To sum it up, very few DJs can claim to have had a greater impact on Denmark's club history than him.

As a highly skilled and much in demand international DJ, Tim Andresen has taken his music to nearly 35 different countries, headlining for brands like the Ministry Of Sound Tour, Godskitchen and Azuli and playing some of the finest clubs on the planet like Pacha, Space and the World’s biggest club Privelegé in Ibiza, Fabric, Ministry of Sound, and Turnmills in London, Redlight in Paris and dozens of others. As a globetrotting DJ, he has played to crowds everywhere from Shanghai to Buenos Aires and back to his exclusive Copenhagen residency What Happens at the World famous Culture Box (the only Danish club rated in DJ Mag’s top 100 clubs), being the club’s main resident for nearly 6 years.

Tim Andresen has selected and mixed three major CD compilations. Most recently This Is What Happens showcasing the sound of his own What Happens label and clubnights. Back in 2003 Ministry Of Sound asked him to mix and compile volume 1 of the Ministry Sessions series for Scandinavia and he also mixed a compilation for his first major club project called Flow in the summer of 2001.

This year will see Tim Andresen’s star continue to rise. Never one to rest on the laurels, he has big things in the pipeline for 2011 with tour dates lined up across the World and numerous tracks and remixes ready for release on various labels. He has also been asked to mix and compile a new compilation for Big In Ibiza and is mixing the next compilation on his own What Happens label too. The profile of the Danish whirlwind is about to explode even further…
